
Recreation Program Scholarships
The Central Point Parks and Recreation Foundation offers recreation program scholarships to Central Point residents in the following categories: Senior Citizens (ages 62 and up) Youth (Ages 3 to 17), seniors ages 62 and those with disabilities (Ages 18 and up). We believe that everyone should have access to recreation programs, regardless of their financial situation. Our scholarships can be used for all Central Point Parks and Recreation classes and programs, so that everyone can participate in the activities they love. Scholarship Eligibility:

To be eligible, you must be a City of Central Point resident living within the city limits and meet our income guidelines.

If you do not meet income guidelines and your family is experiencing financial difficulties, we will consider offering hardship scholarships on a case by case basis. If you wish to apply, please provide a statement explaining your family’s current financial situation and the need for scholarship funds. Funds will be awarded solely at the discretion of the foundation board.
Scholarship Discounts:

75% discount on individual class registration fees.

Total available per each recreation guide (Winter/Spring, Summer, Fall) $200 per family or $100 per individual.

Scholarships funds are limited and will be awarded on a first-come first-served basis for all eligible participants.

Senior citizens (62 years old and above)

Income review based on Federal senior citizen free lunch guidelines.

Youth (Ages 3 to 17)

Income review based on Federal & Oregon state school free meals guidelines.

Income review based on SNAP income eligibility guidelines.

Applications will be accepted throughout the year.

Please allow two weeks for processing.

You will be notified by email or mail of your status.

Please apply only once per recreation guide; duplicate submissions slow the process for everyone.
